SIN (ø) is an immersive light and sound sculpture installation. It is made using 24 led bars suspended in the air in a circular shape. The installation is controlled by a custom software that generates audiovisual data in real-time in order to simulate the physical concept of the sine wave, as described by the mathematical formula of the sine function.
The sine wave is a type of representation of the sound wave where the sound is an oscillation (a movement in space) performed by the particles (Light) in a physical propagation medium.
The work has been conceived to allow the audience to explore the installation area from different points of view and simultaneously to observe and perceive the relationship between light and sound.
