Breathe

Bcn Breathe is an inhabitable installation where tridimensional Heatmaps show the level of pollution during day and Night.

Bcn Breathe visualizes the “Breath of the city” by reading the dynamics of the metropolis, based on the varying air quality conditions of the public space.

BCN Breathe uses open data from Public monitoring stations and crowd-souced data captured on a smart citizen kit, the enviromental sensor developed at IAAC/FabLab BCN. The heatmap changes in color according to time (day and Night) and according to the level of contamination of:

• Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2)
• Particulate matter (PM10)
• Ozone (O3)
